Neeman’s support groups for patients or spouses

Most people have a hard time asking for help. Often, asking for help is seen as an admission of failure, a weakness to be ashamed of or an “airing of dirty laundry”. But asking for help and support is completely human; nothing could be more logical or understandable. No one has superpowers, and the struggles of stroke victims and their family members are complex and impact all areas of life.

Help and support from people in the same boat can make a huge difference in helping victims cope with their new situation, providing tools and strength in the journey back to a meaningful life. Participating in a support group provides victims information about the disease and ways of coping with it; sharing the personal experience of other participants; legitimizing feelings and behaviors; and providing support and mutual assistance among the members of the group.

If you are a stroke patient or the spouse of a stroke patient and you are interested in joining a support group, we would be happy to provide more details at the organization’s offices: 03-5331566
